okay. 42 grade nines on an island, told to kill one another. It takes a lot of organization, but I think we can do this thing. *grin* This will employ the use of a battle system, several different characters per user, and require some major input from a lot of people. It will also involve the loss of characters, which is a hard thing to cope with. So, strong wills, people, strong wills. Alright. Basics: - 21 girls, 21 boys
- weapons for everyone (in pre-made list)
- killable NPCs
- Masochistic freak of a teacher
- battle system to be worked out
The Setting is an island off the coast of Japan. No complaints, most characters will be Japanese. That's just how you're going to have to roll. only a few exchange students will be accepted. maybe a maximum of five in the class. We need a map. At this point, I can't think of anything else. What does everyone think? EDIT: Pictures for the Abandoned Theme Park we will be having it in.

I am in as long as I get one of the exchange students! Kidding. I am in regardless but I'd love to put in an exhange student. I can hold up three characters in an RP effectivly. Just say the word and I'm in!

I'm comfortable playing an exchange kid or a Japanese kid, whatever... A Grade 9 is a Grade 9. Three sounds like a good amount of characters to play.

I'll be able to grab us a map, even if it is of the same island. I hope no ones minds particularly, especially since this one is already divided up into sections. I've been thinking on this for a bit, so I have a few things that I remember from an old BR RP that Moroii and I did a while back, but I've also thought of some things that could be improved on. Here's a generic list: - Since this is a very wide-spread RP board, we will allow the use of magic and magical devices as weapons. However, there will be limits to the use of these magics. And of course, there will be people who don't know about magic, which is also fine. Not to mention fun. It makes things a lot more interesting. However we will not allow anyone to have the ability to fly or teleport without SERIOUS RESTRICTION. It would definately have to be passed by MoroiiAngel or me first.
- Usually, once the RP has been started the rest of the roles of the remaining unnamed students will be up for grabs as new characters or NPCs. They are also randomly named and killed by the runner or teacher at random to keep a kill pace steady.
- Teacher usually has the final say in killings, as per his announcements. Zone disqualifying will be announced by him as well, every six hours, approximately every 20 or so posts if I remember correctly.
- I think it would be a good idea to have everyone note at the beginning of their post what section of the map they are in. Also, its customary to put what time and what day it is, as well as number of kills.
So, that's just the basics. If no one minds, I would like to play the teacher again, it was very fun last time around. Oh, and the weapons list will be made up by number. When you post the characters that you want to play, you will pick numbers that coincide with them. For example, you could say you want your character to be boy #14. Your character would get whatever weapon was assigned to that number, which of course only Moroii and I would know. Makes sense, no? I think that's it for now.

I like most of these ideas, but I have my issues.
A) 3 characters? Really? that's a lot to keep straight... If I decide to this sit this one out until I can do 3 characters effectively, do you guys think you'll run this one again? B) If you post the time of day at the beginning of each post, isn't it possible for people to speed up time an incredible amount? Or slow it down a little subtly giving characters near super-human speed?
C) Can the aforementioned magic be requested? Or is it in the weapons list?
D) Should I start posting japanese kid characters in the registry?

Alrighty, curious one. You do not have to play three characters. You may play as many or as few as you like. I will probably end up playing so many that people's heads will spin. Maybe 8 or so. You're welcome to play only 1. We just have different writing styles. The time of Day is Announced every six hours. I'm sure we're all rational people, and can wager approximately how long it has been since last we posted. The general rule is that two posts is five minutes or so... It's all an approximation. It does give everyone some huge flexability, so maybe Just I will judge time, or just Zemalia, or something. One person job. Some magic is Inherent. So, for Example: Zemalia's character Aiko is a fire elf. As such, she will have some sort of ability to manipulate fire. Generally, when people have magic in battle rps, GIANT restrictions are placed on them. Last time we played, Aiko could only start little match-size fires, which of course can grow, but that was basically all she could do. And it wasn't a cantrip. You can post any character you want at any time in the registry. Go wild. If you want to prelim on the BR character, go right ahead. It will give you more time to get into their personality and such. hope that answered everything okay. Thanks to Zem, for that post. Good, good, all of it good. I propose a listing of possible characters and numbers here in this thread so we can start to get a good idea about how this is going down. I don't know exactly how many characters I will end up with, but for now I know at least three. Ron Kach (#14, M) Takiru Teruchi (#09, M) Harou Yama (#20, M) I'm choosing numbers now before I make the list of weapons to make sure nothing unfair occurs. I have no qualms with Zem playing the Teacher. She did it very well last time. Anyone else?

In answer to your questions:
1) You don't have to play more than one character if you don't want to. Its just in an RP that has a lot of places that need to be filled, people usually play more than one. Once your character gets killed off, if he does, you can just pick up a new one.
2) Time is posted at the end of the post as a kind of reference to others over how much time has passed. If someone thinks its out of place or wrong, one of the staff members will likely change it to make sense.
3) Your character can have minor magic to begin with, something very simple. But, if you're not sure about it, ASK. That's what we're here for.
4) Your characters don't have to be Japanese. Foreigners are quite common.

Woo! I hereby announce I shall play exchange student...
Elliot Linnear, the straight-laced, crunchy, stiff-upper lipped Englishman who will invariably dominate over these poor savages. Let the sun never set on the British Empire, and let those who stand in the way of it's citizens perish in completely horrible ways.
More on him later in the a Registration Thread
Also since we're doing numbers, I'll pick my lucky #21
Also, Also, I will probably pick up at least one more character as the fancy strikes me 2 at a time will do the job given the ton of deaths im expecting.

Sounds Fair. I enjoy the thought of two british f*cks wandering around with a whole bunch of little japanese kids. (ron's british too) This means that 3 exchange students are gone, two spots left. Maybe, if this one goes well and everyone is satisfied, we'll do an inexplainable english version and everyone can be more happy. Silly Zem, answering questions I already answered. Read my posts. I am saying important things. rawr!

Katsu Kaku (#35) I'm thinking a meek character with a "Hulk-Out" like temper. I like the idea of a little 80 lbs weakling going bug-nut when he's pushed too far. He needs filling out though as that's a little shallow.
On top of a filled-out history, maybe a magic ability?

I want an exchange student too, just to give one of my characters some extra distinction. Not sure who they are yet, though. I think I'll go with two characters... One foreign, one exchange, at least for now. If we're picking numbers, I'll take #5 and #15, respectively.

Alright. Seeing as everyone has an exchange student they want to play, I am going to back down and play four Japanese kids. Two female two male, undecidedly. No one said anything about them being HALF japanese and living in japan anyways. Oh loopholes. PREPARE TO GO DOWN BEEOTCHEZZZ!(Does that count as swearing? Cuz if it does I am sorry and I'll get rid of it)

lol, no it doesn't count as swearing.
If you are choosing #s, you must choose a gender with that #. Or else it becomes meaningless.

You all know how I get when somebody says; "here, give this fourteen-year-old a gun and tell him to point it at somebody's head, Justine."
I'M IN.
Oh, ho ho ho! Aaaaaaand I'm playing five characters. Goodness knows I'll have six of 'em wiped out at the starting gates. That's right. SIX. Out of five. That's just how damn unlucky I am.
#--, Marutaro Inoue (M) #--, Tokujiro Inoue (M) #4, Yuudai Matsuo (M) #17, Mugito Sakamoto (M) #3, Azami Ochi (F)
On another note, wouldn't it be wise to post up a list of all the available numbers, soon, and what slots have been taken?

I like Justine's thinking. Uniform picture.
Alright, numbers
#1 - Akamori Kizoku(M) #26 - Kaede Ikunara(F) #27 - Raidon Kizoku(M) #41 - Akira Techuna(F) That's right. Twins.

I plan on posting the listing of the class and numbers in the character development section just as soon as I'm done this post. A note to both of you, your numbers cannot exceed 21. There are 21 members of either gender, and therefore 42 people in the class. Class list is genderized. So, post back with new numbers for the ones you have over 21 for now, please. (After posting this, I've gone back and looked it over, and almost everyone has chosen a # over 21. I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer. Heartfelt apologies.) here is your picture. This is the origional cast from the movie. We'll have similar uniforms. (they are beige and black)
