So, you've never been a member of a forum before? You want to start? It's best you read this before you so much as click on another forum. You might embarass yourself.
First and foremost, forums are a place of common courtesy. No one is here asking you to be an inconceivable twit towards them. Please respect the other members.
1. No foul language, unless it is in character.
2. Do not bash others in earnest. One bashing per newb is the max, and only bashing in good fun is allowed.
3. Do not use the forums as your own personal blog space. This is a conversation area, not a myspace.
4. Do not sign up in order to ruin everyone else's day. If you are here specifically to jeopardize the fun of everyone else, you will be found, and you will be punished.
5. Do try to post at least once a week. Everyone is busy, but an active member is a happy member.
6. Don't be surpised if you don't reply quickly and the others have moved on without you.
7. Don't poke the admins for special treatment. You will be treated equally.
8. Do read every sticky and Admin note and Announcement. We're not posting for the good of our health.
And that's about all for that section of the lecture.
Next importantly, Roleplaying. In the forums, there are certain ways we expect you to post. For specific-to-genre posting, see each board. But just to get you ready for what you are going to see, I'll outline a normal Roleplay for you.
There you have it. If you have any additional questions, please reply, and we will get back to you.

- Normally, there will be a member who has had an idea. That member will post a preliminary listing of the setting, rules, and general idea of the rp. This should not be done without consulting the layout/example in the forum. (The Sticky note)
- Once that has been posted up, the starter will usually begin the rp, with a first post. From here on in, everything is in character unless explicitly stated. Most of the conversation should happen outside of the RP board. Start a new thread in another board. If it's something small, use ((OOC: Insert message here.)).
- All character profiles need to be in the Registration before the character appears in the role play.
- If you are using more than one character, it is typical to give their voice a specifically coloured font, so that others can know who is talking with ease. EG: "I think that's pretty simple," said Fred.
